This is a key role that progresses designs through NPI stages into Mass production for key customers which are mostly International Automotive EV [Electrical Vehicle] related.
You will need to produce robust, cost effective CT smart / time sensitive solutions to demanding requirements and timescales.
Your solutions will be a mixture of MES S/W, EV Testing, H/W functional equipment, jigs and fixtures that are Poka Yoke and Semi – Automated where possible.
Key Responsibilities of the role
Produce PPAP automotive standard P-FMEAs eg. VDA 6.3 European auto makers.
Ability & experience to create and manage smart procurement specifications that are Poka Yoke and UPH superior.
Ability to test, review, optimize solutions together with supplier engineers, take ownership of sign off’s.
From smart DOE’s produce clear action plans and complete the improvements to agreed / customer defined time scales with a high quality data submissions.
Improve existing manufacturing cells, optimize processes via improved tooling designs, jigs & fixtures that demonstrably reduce bottlenecks [TOC smart].
Responsible for effective preventive maintenance and ownership of your equipment, machines, jigs and fixtures.
Able to produce LEAN P-FMEA layouts and cell CT data based estimates alongside complete process CT submissions that stand up to scrutiny.
O.E.E data analysis and improvement with factual data.
Key member of C.I. team to remove possibility of customer complaints, scrap & improve UPPH.
Key Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or above in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Engineering or related disciplines with 10+ years related working experience.
Strong ability to work well in a team or as an individual to producing high quality work at speed on leadership and people management skills.
Good command of written and verbal English, familiar with MS Office. Combined with excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
Ability to teach and grow junior engineers and technician level staff on a peer to peer level.
