Supplier Quality Engineer SQE

Reports to Head of Quality Assurance.

Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics specialist who plays a central role in assessing supplier quality and ensuring that products received are free of defects.

SQEcommunicates between senior management and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, providing technical input and guidance on process enhancements and improvements. In many cases, he or she will spend a significant amount of time visiting supplier facilities to assess their practices and procedures and identify areas for improvement. This role may conduct tests of received supplies to identify potential areas of failure or recurring manufacturing defects.

• Continue to reduce the IRR (Incoming Rejection Rate) & PRR (Production Rejection Rate) issue with team and maintain performance.
• Control IQA performance and correct keeping of IQA report.
• Ensure Incoming material inspected according to procedure
• Driver and champion for MRB meeting for raw material issue, and to follow up with supplier.
• Continue to send feedback or raised SCAR to supplier as follow up action from MRB meeting.
• Ensure good and effective SCAR replied from suppliers.
• Drive supplier for continuously improvement action for quality
• To review and monitor action result that submitted by supplier whether effectively for SCAR raised to them.
• Monitor the supplier quality performance by number of issue found or number of SCAR raised.
• Perform audit on supplier, assisting for new supplier qualification.
• Update procedure and standardize with Volex Asia database.

• University Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years experience in the same role or industry
• Communication in English is a must
• Computer literate MS excel, word, Power Point
• Good Leadership and able to interactive at all levels.
