Designing and developing cable wiring product to meet our customers’ needs. You will be responsible to see through the end to end process from conceptual designing and development.
The successful candidate has to demonstrate a good knowledge in mechanical design of plastics components and contacts/ terminals design for high speed stamping die. Troubleshooting and analytical ability are also important.
Batam applicants are highly prioritized. Fresh graduates are not encouraged to apply.
Scope and experiences will be R&D Engineering, CAD design and Product design Portfolio, Materials knowledge, plastic injection or stamping tool knowledge.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and development of new product from conceptual to mass production.
To establish Product drawing/Specifications and component drawings of new products that meet the requirements of customers and safety/industrial standards.
Maintenance/Update of product specifications/Drawings and component drawings of existing products
Upfront design discussions with customers at the early stage of Product Development
Able to drive and follow up project closely with various functional team.(Project Management)
Handle Sample trials, Product Evaluations and reliability testing for Product’s Qualification
Able to perform root cause analysis pertaining to a quality product issue
Support the Improvement/enhancement of product cost/yield lost/quality issue
Support evaluation of Alternative components or alternative suppliers
Assist in supporting the daily Engineering Operation
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 (five) years of relevant product design and development experience in the cable wiring, connector related sector.
Heavily engage with our Sales teams and even directly with the customers.
Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics (preferred), Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent business English writing and communication skills. (Mandarin is optional).
Meticulous for details, self driven with professional people influence skills, ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners to drive for project completion independently.
Proficient with 3D and 2D software. Candidates who are already using and proficient in Solidworks, Creo (or Pro-E) and Unigraphics and familiar with tolerance analysis and testing will be in an advantage position
Prior experiences working with automotive industries, familiar with electronic vehicle business platform or familiar with PCBA design will also be in an advantage position.
